WinTV channel 8 changing to mpeg4 soon

Invalid Format

WinTV in Southern NSW will soon be completing their upgrades to MPEG4 video.
The tuners in some older TV’s/PVR’s are not compatible with this format, which means (just like CH 6 recently), you will no longer be able to view this channel.
If your TV or PVR can already receive channel 80 (Nine HD), then there is nothing you need to do. Your device is already compatible with the new format.

If your TV is not compatible you can solve this problem by either upgrading your TV or attaching a current model Set-Top Box or Recorder.
Currently the best option for most people (if your TV still works fine, and you can’t afford a new one) is to attach a Fetch Box to your TV which not only upgrades your TV to a “Smart” TV, but also solves your missing channel issues.
There are 2 options for the Fetch Box. The MINI or the MIGHTY. The only difference between the 2 (apart from size) is that you can record on the MIGHTY, but not on the MINI.
You do, however, require home internet in order to activate and use all the smart features available on them.

Fetch Mighty
